IMEC served as the Marine Warranty Surveyor for the Bukit Tua Phase 2B Development Project. The new facility, BTJT-B, is an unmanned wellhead platform integrated with the existing infrastructure. It is a 4 legged structure designed to accommodate a total of 9 wells (5 producing wells and 4 spare).
The field holds hydrocarbon reserves comprising oil, associated gas, and non-associated gas (NAG), and is located within the Ketapang Block in the East Java Basin. Situated in the East Java Sea, approximately 100 kilometers north of Surabaya and off the northern coast of Madura Island, the field lies at a water depth of 60 meters. The nearest infrastructure operated by PC Ketapang II Ltd includes the BTJT-A Wellhead Platform and the BT-FPSO, located approximately 3.6 kilometers northwest of the new development area.
The objective of the Bukit Tua Phase 2B Development Project is to develop the following facilities:
- BTJT-B Platform.
- Deck Extension of the BTJT-A Platform
- 2 (two) pipeline systems, consisting of a 16-inch, 3.6-kilometer Flowline and a 6-inch, 3.6-kilometer Gas Lift line, both connecting the BTJT-B Platform to the existing BTJT-A Platform.
