In addition to our expertise in MWS, IMEC has extensive experience in incident investigation and risk management assessment (HAZID/HAZAN/HAZOP, etc.) to identify and minimize accident risks and enhance safety awareness in marine operational and offshore work.
In 2023, IMEC was requested by Mubadala Energy (South Andaman) RSC LTD to conduct an incident investigation on the Dynamic Position (DP) of the PSV “WM NATUNA” which resulted in a collision with the Drill Vessel West Capella. The scope of this work is to find out the root cause of the problem that occurred in the DP system by conducting an investigation of the DP trial, DP Record, DP operator assessment and DP console malfunction.
Other investigations that have been carried out are: Collision Damage Survey of Bulk Carrier YIN LU with Barge RMN 387; Investigation of Explosion & Fire on Cargo Ship KM Bahari 11; Calculation and Analysis of Evacuation of MT Young Yong.
