In 2024, IMEC successfully developed Underwater Service as new business line. This business offers services for UWILD (Underwater Inspection In Lieu of Drydocking), IWS (In Water Survey), Hull Inspection, and Underwater Test/Inspection (Ultrasonic, Cathodic Protection, Magnetic Particle). Our certified, skilled divers and advanced technology tools adapt to various depths, visibility, and extreme marine conditions, delivering best test/inspection results to meet requirements of the marine, oil & gas, scientific research, and maintenance or exploration industries.

The first underwater inspection project was with PT Amman Mineral Nusa Tenggara (AMNT) with a scope of work Underwater Inspection Services for Cargo Berth Structural Piles. This project involved Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) methods included measure the thickness of solid materials (UT), cathodic protection test, and cleaned underwater piles covered by marine growth. The final stage of this work is to conduct a technical review of all actual steel pipe pile conditions to provide recommendations for maintenance and/or repair systems.
